It’s official! #1 bestselling author Stephenie Meyer is making a triumphant return to the world of Twilight in Midnight Sun: the iconic love story of Bella and Edward told from Edward’s point of view.
In an interview with USA Today this morning, Stephenie Meyer acknowledged that readers “have been patiently waiting” for the book and felt as if she “owed it to them to put it out as soon as [she] could.” Meyer continues saying that she hopes the book gives readers a chance to “live in an imaginary world for a while,” and serves as “distraction from the real world.”
“It’s definitely darker, and I would say more desperate,” Meyer says of the new book. “The stakes are way higher from (Edward’s) perspective.”
