A stunning retelling of Mark Twain's The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn from Jim's perspective. It offers shocking, yet truthful, insight into Jim's life as he accompanies Huck as a runaway slave. 10/10 would recommend!

A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers
Are you having a bad day (or two)? Do you need a palette cleanser after a particularly rough book? Have a book hangover after an epic series? This absolute hug of a book is what you need. This story follows Sibling Dex through figuring out what exactly they want out of life and the unexpected robot that helped them find the right questions to ask. So many smiles and tears in one of my favorite books of the year.

Sociopath: A Memoir by Patric Gagne
Sociopath: A Memoir is at once a jaw-dropping tale of a life lived on the edge of the law, a redemptive love story and a moving account of one woman's battle to gain a deeper understanding of people who, like her, are sociopaths. Growing up Patric wasn't like other children. She didn't feel emotions like grief, remorse, or love. Until one day in high school when she met her partner in crime. This book is an amazing true story about a woman growing up in the unknown of her mind and her journey to becoming a therapist to help other people who are diagnosed with sociopathy.

The Disabled Tyrant's Beloved Pet Fish Vol. 1 by Xue Shan Fei Hu & Changle Ryoplica
This book is an amazing addition to our Danmei section! It has a lovely romantic story while also showing the depths of characters not seen in a lot of romance stories. Transmigration is one of my favorite tropes, and this brings it to a whole new level.
Anna, Bookseller, Gadsden, AL
Delicious in Dungeon: Book 1 by Ryoko Kui and Taylor Engel
A very fun twist on the iconic dungeon crawler and tabletop fantasy genre! Has a perfect mix of comedy, character growth, compelling plot, and delicious food.
Tegan--Bookseller, Goldsboro, NC
Butcher & Blackbird by Brynne Weaver
I absolutely adore this book. It was the dark rom-com I never knew I needed. Two Dexter-esque serial killers compete with one another to see who can get to a target first. The amount of times I laughed out loud during this book can't be numbered, and neither can the amount of times I blushed. This book was everything I wanted it to be and more.

Dragons Love Tacos by Adam Rubin
Dragons Love Tacos is a humorous book about dragons that love and praise tacos! The taco-loving dragons in this book rave about all different types of tacos and use various tacos to celebrate a bunch of different traditions. As much as these dragons love tacos, there is one rule to follow when serving dragons tacos: do NOT put spicy salsa on them! However, tacos are all that these dragons talk about, and they will do anything to get their hands on them...until something drastic causes a commotion at one of their fiestas. Buy your copy of Dragons Love Tacos today in order to find out what exactly happened at the taco party!

If you were driving on the interstate several decades ago, you would undoubtedly have seen and probably stopped at a Stuckey's store. Stuckey's was along the roadside and a favorite stop for kids and adults alike to refresh, refuel, and enjoy novelties, candies and the world-famous Pecan Roll which made Stuckey's a household name across the nation. Sadly, in recent years, the popularity has declined, for various reasons. This book is the story of how the granddaughter of the founder of Stuckey's bought the company from investors, took on the seemingly insurmountable task of bringing new life to a once thriving company and the trials and successes she encountered along the way. This read is guaranteed to bring back fond memories and provide encouragement to anyone facing what seem to be impossible odds. Don't miss this one!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles X Stranger Things by Cameron Chittock & Fero Pe
I am recommending this title cause what more could want this has all the 80's action you could ever want. It also has amazing art and a story that will make you pump your fist, laugh, cry, and race to the end to see how it all comes together.

If Only I Had Told Her by Laura Nowlin
I loved how this book could have been read before or after the previous book, If He Had Been With Me. This book dove further into the loss of Finn and the effect that this loss had on his friend and his girlfriend. The tragic loss of the loveable character makes this story just as loveable as it is a tearjerker.
