Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez
"Abby Jimenez does it again with this funny, heart-warming, swoon worthy romance. Our main characters have amazing chemistry, and you will be rooting for them from page one. While also having heart wrenching moments this is a book that will surely keep you hooked from beginning to end.” —Laura

The Teller of Small Fortunes by Julie Leong
“In ‘The Teller of Small Fortunes’, Leong provides a heartwarming narrative that packs in everything you could want from a cozy fantasy book. The world building is rich, the relationships formed between the characters even more so. This book manages to wiggle its way into your heart with a warmth that is breathtaking. It was my first five star read of 2025, and I could easily see myself picking this book up again before year's end.” —Kell

Witchcraft for Wayward Girls by Grady Hendrix
“Grady Hendrix just keeps getting better! His humorous and insightful approach to horror had me reflecting on power, who has it and who doesn’t, what they do with it, and how it affects others.” —Scott

Darell—Bookseller, Nashville, TN
The JFK Conspiracy by Brad Meltzer
“The whole world has heard of the Kennedy assassination in 1963. However, likely very people have heard of the assassination that came within seconds of occurring just before he became president. The author provides meticulous details leading up to this near tragedy and explains why it didn't happen. A true-life mystery you're sure to enjoy!” —Darell

Sam—Bookseller, Jackson, TN
My Funny Demon Valentine by Aurora Ascher
“Oddly adorable, this not-dark-romance-but-kinda book is such a 10/10! It was surprisingly wholesome and enjoyable through and through. You will feel for all the characters... especially when you get to the end! What a shock! If you enjoy romance and a little bit of magic (okay, a lot of magic haha), you will LOVE this!” —Sam

Rebecca—Bookseller, Alexandria, LA
The House of Eve by Sadeqa Johnson
“Amazing. This book was absolutely gripping for me. I love historical fiction, but when it is about black culture in America in the early 1900's, I will read it. It follows two different main female characters and showcases the lives that they have and what their background is/where they came from. You follow two different black women, with two completely different lifestyles, and they both are striving for a similar goal.” —Rebecca

Anne-Marie—Bookseller, Beckley, WV
The Alien Next Door #1: The New Kid by by A. I. Newton and Anjan Sarkar
“I read to a1st Grade classroom on Thursdays, the kids loved this book! Harris and Roxy get a new kid in class, and he eats weird stuff at lunch, doesn't know anything about soccer, and stands upside down on one finger. Is he an alien? Great book for starting a discussion with kids about accepting people with different backgrounds, habits, etc. Very fun!” —Anne-Marie

Tzipporah—Bookseller, Murfreesboro, TN
Blob by Maggie Su
‘Blob’ is a story about a lot of things, but more than anything, it is about pretending to be something you're not and learning to be yourself. It is a story of crashing and burning and figuring everything out as you go, and it is also a fun and bonkers little debut. The writing was clear and engaging, and the way the author characterized everyone was lovely!”—Tzipporah

The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins
“’The Let Them Theory’ just lets them be them - them; a word constantly muddled by confusion, controversy, conundrum, conflict, and chaos... but this book, a them book, does exactly what the title, Let Them, promotes, telling them to just let them.” —Avery

Emma—Bookseller, Southern Pines, NC
When the Hatched by Sarah A. Parker
“I read this book recently and it is exactly the type of high fantasy that I was craving! There are dragons, dragon riders, an incredibly strong female main character who is insanely sassy. There is a little bit of spice in this book, but it is not at all what the whole book is about, which are my favorite kind of romantasies! It is also a slow burn relationship with the FMC having to learn to trust the man whose brother is a ruthless king, all the while battling her inner thoughts/broken memories telling her to give into the man. If you're in need of a good book to pick up after your brain is fried from Onyx Storm this one is it!” —Emma
